Efficiency
Hydralign offers racing and cruising yachts maximum performance under power with minimum drag under sail. It achieves the optimum operational efficiency through its wide range of easily adjusted blade pitches to suit the shape, weight and engine capacity of each craft. Hydralign presents more blade area to the water under power than similar designs, yet feathers simply into a minimal drag configuration for sailing.

Ease of operation
Hydralign is feathered by simply stopping the shaft rotation. The propeller will feather once under sail. Shifting into forward or reverse gear automatically re-sets the blade pitch for drive.

Reverse
Hydralign can reverse a boat with the same efficiency as its forward thrust with no risk of ‘prop fold’. Engaging reverse gear sets the blades in a similar pitch as forward gear.

Construction
High quality aluminium bronze (cast in Australia) and 316 stainless steel ensure long life and dependability. The prop is robust because of bigger, more functional gearing mechanisms cleverly housed in a sleek casing, which presents minimum resistance.

Durability
Benefits of using a feathering propeller are that the propeller is not turning constantly, thereby eliminating noise and the continual wear of bearings. The feathering propeller also significantly reduces drag, which could mean the difference between making a landfall in daylight or darkness. Our aperture model can be fitted to a shaft in an aperture which has previously been fitted with a fixed blade propeller. It also has the added advantage of adjustability.

Hydralign has models available for all drive modes - Shaft Drive, Aperture and Sail Drive. All models can be set up for right hand or left hand rotation.

2 and 3 blade Senior, ES, LD and new junior models are all fitted with zinc anodes as standard. As are 3 blade Aperture A, B models. All other models can be fitted with an anode as an optional extra.
