Jack has over thirty years experience as a racing and cruising yachtsman. He has conducted his own marine engineering business from Careening Cove, Sydney, since 1974, and created the first Hydralign self-feathering propeller in 1990.

Jack is well acquainted with the world's leading yachting technology, and has hands on experience of some powerful waves and wind. He has raced in the Admiral's Cup, America's Cup, and twenty Sydney to Hobart races. His many thousands of cruising miles include a global circumnavigation.

Jack still enjoys blue water cruising and is constantly developing new prototypes in his Sydney workshop. A four blade propeller for larger blade and shaft sizes is currently under construction.
